Cocos Island Schooling Hammerheads

Cocos Island Eagle Rays
Why Cocos Island? Simply, any diver who’s been there looks at me like there’s something seriously wrong with me when I say I haven’t been. Once their disbelief dissipates and they can speak again, all I hear is: Drop everything, you have to go! On top of these strong and frequent first hand diver endorsements, Cocos Island National Park has also been internationally recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1997. It was shortlisted as a candidate to be declared one of the New7Wonders of Nature in 2009, and declared “the most beautiful island in the world” by none other than Jacques Cousteau after multiple expeditions to the island in the mid-1990s. Let’s not forget, it was also featured in Jurassic Park and the IMAX film Island of the Sharks. After years of putting it off and doing our due diligence, it’s happening, and who better for you to experience the awe of this magical place than the Scuba Sensations crew!

The word on the sea is there is no place like Cocos. There is nowhere you can get as close to schooling Hammerheads. There is nowhere you can do a night dive with hunting White Tips. There is nowhere that mixes big animal, big action encounters

with Batfish, Frogfish, Octopus and other of our smaller underwater friends. When not diving, enjoy lounging on the Sea Hunter’s sun deck or lounge area. Maybe take a day trip to the island and explore the lush wonders of Treasure Island. Included as part of this adventure is at least one day trip to the island and possibly more. When it’s all said and done, you will return home from this one with memory cards full of breathtaking moments, indescribable experiences and brain matter full of unimaginable encounters. As the gentlemen says at the end of the video above: Wooooooow! Wa!
