Ambergris Caye is Belize's largest island measuring 25 miles by 1 mile. It's located in the Caribbean Sea just south of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. While it used to be dependent on the coconut and fishing industries, the island is now economically dependent on tourism including SCUBA. Read more about Ambergris Cay in this PDF Brochure.

We will be staying at Ramon's Village Resort which sits on the beach. The property is a beautiful, quiet, lush getaway. Being close to town, you can enjoy walking around in the the afternoons and evenings exploring the different shops and sights.

We are going to support the Ambergris Caye economy. It just so happens, to do so, we must make the SCUBA. We will enjoy 17 dives through the week including a couple of night dives. Ambergris Caye sits on the Mesoramerican Barrier Reef System. It is the second largest coral reef system in the world. Get ready to swim. We have a lot of ground to cover!

This massive reef is home to a plethora of marine life. At various times of the year a diver may encounter eagle rays, turtles, crabs, dolphins, nurse sharks, reef sharks, jacks, whale sharks, beautiful corals and much more. Grab your gear and your camera and join us in March!

Trip Requirements

  • Have current dive insurance (DAN Dive Insurance)

  • Be Nitrox certified

  • Be a certified diver or completing your training on the trip (unless you're coming as a non-diver)

  • Have and use a dive computer

  • Have a Safety Sausage/Signal Tube/DSMB
